Schedule of Forums & Activities

Here are some of the meetings and activities taking place at the 2008 Frostfest & Virginia State ARRL Convention
(scroll down to see the hour by hour schedule)

ARRLARRL Forum hosted by Glen Sage, W4GHS, VA Section Manager (9:00 -10:00AM)

APRSBob Bruninga, WB4APR, will be speaking on APRS! (10:00 - 11:00AM)

AMSATAMSAT will be in attendance. (11:00AM-12:00PM)

Army MARSArmy MARS will hold their Regional Meeting. (12:00PM - 1:00PM)

K-9 AlertJoe Atherton, KI4PLE, of K-9 Alert Search & Rescue is bringing his dog Quincy  and will be making a presentation on K-9 Alert and their work! (1:00 - 2:00PM)

 

ARESAnthony Harbour, KG4YXP, will be hosting the ARES District 6 meeting. (2:00PM - 3:00PM)

 

Friday – February 1st

9:00 FROSTFEST Team Arrives On Site (Please volunteer to help on this day!)
10:00 PA Stand & Announcer Setup Complete, Door Monitors In Place
10:00 Doors open for vendor load-in
21:45 Vendor Setup Ends - ABSOLUTE END TIME! Gates are locked at 22:00!

Saturday – February 2rd

06:00 Talk-in Station On The Air To Provide Directions
05:45 FROSTFEST Team & First Shift Volunteers Arrives On Site
06:00 Door Monitors In Place – Doors Open For Vendors
06:45 Announcers Stand Operational
08:00 Doors Open For Early Bird Ticket Holders
08:30 Ticket Windows Open – Doors Open For All Attendees
09:00 ARRL Virginia Section Forum
         9:00-9:20 Glen Sage, W4GHS, VIrginia Section Manager
         9:20-9:40 Section Traffic Manager
         9:40-10:00 Section Emergency Coordinator or ASEC
09:00 VE Testing Begins – VE Room (2nd Floor of Exhibition Hall)
09:00 Door Prize Drawing
10:00 Bob Bruninga on APRS (Colonial Building - Forum area)
10:00 Door Prize Drawing
10:00 Talk-in Station Closes
11:00 Grand Prize Drawing - $1000.00 (One Thousand Dollars) in FROSTFEST Buck$
