The Richmond Amateur Telecommunications Society sponsors Virginia's largest Hamfest and State ARRL Convention each year as a service to hams from all over the region!

Date: Saturday, February 2, 2008, from 8:30AM until 3:30PM
Location: The Richmond Raceway Complex

This year we are moving to the Richmond Raceway Complex! Join us for a FANTASTIC hamfest in a new, much nicer facility. We have a separate building for forums and meetings, 2 buildings filled with vendors and hams just like you selling the finest in amateur radio "stuff" anywhere around!

This year's Frostfest featureD:

Austin Amateur Radio is back! Bob Bruninga, WB4APR, and inventor of APRS will be speaking, and bringing his solar-powered field day power supply - a 10Kw Toyota Prius! There will be VE Testing, Commercial Vendors, Brian Bayus, N1KC will be DXCC Card Checking, 300+ Tables of Flea Marketers, hourly Door Prizes including a $1000 Grand Prize (drawn at 11:00am), drive-in loading, nearly 12 hours of set up time on Friday, Forums - all day long - everything from APRS to MARS to AMSAT to K-9 SAR, meeting space for groups, RV camping, excellent access to interstates, and nearby motels!
